Making SBS 2003 Server Play Ball with SSL Certificates

Overview One of the most common problems with setting up Small Business Server 2003 (SBS2003) is how to make it work without the inherent SSL certificate issues that are created when you setup SBS2003 with the default method of using a self signed certificate. This is an SSL certificate that is not able to authenticate itself against the embedded list of public SSL certificates that every web browser is aware of. These public SSL certificates are sometimes automatically updated on a regular basis or can be manually updated or added to. What is an SSL certificate?
